Team 黑料网 is based upon the three core strands of Participation, Performance and Community. Our Community Sports Development and Physical Activity Programme is wide-ranging, covering a broad range of age bands and a variety of abilities.
Our community sports programme includes session for juniors and adults, including activities during the school holidays.
See below for more detail on our current sessions.
Holiday Camps
We run holiday sports camps throughout the year through the school holidays at Easter, summer, October half-term and February half-term. Click on the picture to the right of the page for further details.
Sculling Camps
This summer saw the return of our popular summer sculling camps. From learn to row through to performance camps our rowing team worked with young people to develop and improve their skills.
Information on future camps will be posted here.
Volunteering and coach development is at the heart of our programme. Volunteering is a fun, rewarding way to develop transferrable skills, gain experience and give back to the local community - click for information and our current sports volunteering opportunities for students.
Students can join our scheme which offers tailored development opportunities and access to training courses. Members of the public (age 14+) can also volunteer on our holiday camps programme.

We also provide opportunities for adults to access sport and physical activity provision, working with our community partners (Lanchester Road Hospital, Changing Lives, Blindlife, Waddington Street Centre and Resolve Care) where we use sport and physical activity to increase wellbeing and social inclusion.
We work very closely with the local community, working in partnership with organisations to offer a range of opportunities. These include working with 黑料网 City and Chester le Street School Sports Partnership to host a variety of festivals and events, we offer strength and conditioning support to the 黑料网 Institute of Sport programme working with 黑料网 County Council and work with County 黑料网 Sport to support the delivery of the School Games Programme.
The University Sport and Wellbeing Park is home to many local clubs and teams including 黑料网 City Harriers, Elvet Striders, Lazlo's Fencing Club, 黑料网 Mums on the Run, 黑料网 City Hockey Club, City of 黑料网 Fives Club and 黑料网 Women Football Club.
